Welcome!

Hello and welcome to our blog!

Reasons for blogging on this trip:
  1. Friends and Family know we’re alive
  2. Friends and Family know what we’re up to
  3. Ian likes to read and doesn't appreciate me watching him do so

I’m going to be detailing our trip around Southeast Asia whenever I have time and a WiFi connection. This is not a travel guide but rather a travel diary written for the afore mentioned reasons. Please excuse the informality and the overuse of CAPS and exclamation points!!! EMPHASIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not everyone supported our decision to go on this journey, but we’re already confident that this was the right move for us. We had a really rough past year moving cross-country for jobs that didn’t pan out, and we’re eager to reset, recharge, rebuild and renew. I feel incredibly prepared for this trip since living "off the grid" in Tahoe; In fact, we're already used to a life devoid of WiFi and cellphone service! This trip is less about vacation and more about looking for inspiration for our future. Our goal is to put the kibosh on our existential crisis! We are SOOOOO happy to be starting a new chapter!

(Also, WE’RE ENGAGED! Excuse us if we do some crazy romantic things along the way.)

Enjoy!
